About Autumn
I have spent my entire adult life in education. I have a B.A. in Mathematics, M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, and a post-masters certificate in Public School Leadership. I taught high school math for 11 years and before serving as a high school assistant principal. I was very successful as a teacher, consistently proving that my students exceeded expected growth on state exams each year. I enjoy using my experience in the classroom to help students 1:1. It allows me to adapt to individual learning needs and interests. I love math because I get to figure out how problems work. I enjoy doing logic puzzles, escape rooms, and anything else that challenges my mind. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada but reside in in Asheville, North Carolina.

I understand math and know how to break it down so that you will too. I focus on teaching the process versus memorizing steps. I can offer help with specific problems or completely reteach full concepts. I will design each tutoring session around what you need. I know how to adapt during the lesson to make sure you walk away feeling more confident. After 13 years in public education, I still have great passion for helping everyone “get it”!
