About Allahiya
Hi! My name is Allahiya(Ah-La-Ee-Ya) but you can call me Ally if you like! I've been working in the educational system for 10 years. I started as a teacher's assistant in other schools and once I graduated from high school I was offered a job tutoring and teaching my own classes. My number 1 rule for my sessions are to be efficient and fun! We can joke and play games as much as we want as long as we get what needs to be done...done!
I am strict but lenient. I work with you to see what it is you like to do and incorporate that with our sessions. I never want you to feel bored. I strive for my students to feel excited about the work that you're doing. If you ever do feel boredom coming on let me know so we can change up our routine. My goal is to keep you interested and engaged so that you are learning at your best ability!

All my lessons are personalized to my students needs and skills as well as their personality. Most of my sessions consist of multimedia such as video and audio. As a tutor I like to incorporate games and activities with my students that will both teach and encourage them during our sessions. I specialize in k-8 education with an emphasis on social emotional learning and mindfulness that gives the students tools to improve their focus. The first step to my approach is to set goals with the parent(s) and teacher(s) as well if needed.
Typical Study Session starts with setting our sessions goals, reviewing what we know, then we get into the session by starting off with an educational game and going from there into homework review and jumping into study skills through subject tutoring.
