About Tingting
Having worked as a professor at Yunnan University for twenty-three years, I taught beginning to advanced classes in Mandarin to foreign students of all levels, ages, and vocations. Furthermore, in recent years, I have been giving experiential Mandarin courses to children in the United States. Although I focus on oral/aural communicative activities, I am also an expert in teaching writing. I let my students explore the language through their interests an expertises, helping them understand the art behind every Chinese character.

Having worked as a professor at Yunnan University for twenty-three years, I taught beginning to advanced classes in Mandarin to foreign students of all levels, ages, and vocations. Furthermore, in recent years, I have been giving experiential Mandarin courses to children in the United States. Although I focus on oral/aural communicative activities, I am also an expert in teaching writing. I let the kids “play” with the language, helping them understand the art behind every Chinese character. Some of my lessons have been developed for online platforms.
My lesson plan revolves around the individual needs of my students, which embodies meeting and customizing a lesson plan just for you.

She helped us to explore the culture and effectively memorize Chinese characters through etymology and social-cultural awareness.
