About Cheryle
I teach because math only made sense to me once someone slowed down to explain the why. That philosophy guides my chess instruction after teaching 420 students over 13 years.
I help you see tactical patterns and improve your board vision through clear steps. You will find that calculation and visualization become easier with practice. It is about steady progress rather than rushing through complex variations.

My lesson delivery provides a recorded summary for 100 percent of our meetings. I use my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics to break down complex endgame technique and opening principles. We focus on time management and tournament preparation during our hour together. You will master the art of recording and notation as part of your development.
It is important to review these concepts frequently. My technical background helps me simplify the board for you. We keep the focus on your growth.
