About Ella
Completing my BFA from NYU Tisch shaped how I listen to the piano as a performer. I spent 8 years touring, often accompanying myself while singing. Teaching comes naturally after 13 years of performance work.
I focus heavily on posture and hand position to keep you playing safely. Chord voicing and dynamics and expression are key parts of my method.
I also incorporate pop and contemporary styles. I enjoy helping jazz improvisation students find their own voice. You will find that my approach remains very grounded.

Great technique rarely comes from rigid drills alone, so I focus on the music that excites you first. Even if you are self-taught or a total beginner, building structure is essential for long term progress.
Kids and teens find that my accompaniment skills help them understand how chords support a melody. My 13 years of experience allow me to simplify complex music theory into manageable concepts. NYU Tisch taught me that the best music happens when you stay relaxed at the keys. I truly enjoy seeing how your confidence grows each week.
