About Nelson
I came to Melbourne from Hong Kong in 2016 to study VCE and graduated as Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science with H1 honour. I worked in pharmaceutical researches in university and was involved in COVID-19 vaccine researches and tutored VCE students part-time.
Speaking from experience, I believe that a classroom setting is often not enough to meet the student's need, especially for struggling students, and that tutors are responsible for not only helping the students to improve their grades, but also to improve their ability to learn new concepts.

Having worked in academic research sector, I believe that many mathematical/scientific concepts can be mastered without memorisation but instead by logical reasoning. Using combination of verbal and visual illustration, I give the students enough information to work towards the answer to a complex concept themselves.
The VCE lessons usually lasts for 1 hour (2 if required), consisting of homework help, teaching new topics/reviewing old topics and practical question demonstration.
