About Thembelihle
I am an academic at heart. I was a top learner in both primary and secondary school. In my tertiary education I studied BSc Civil Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, which I completed in record time. In my academic career I have obtained a Golden Key Honors Award, Merit Certificate for Materials and Structures course, which I later tutored. I also tutored Environmental engineering in my final year. Currently, I'm involved in Highway Engineering projects, working closely with my manager who mentors me. Through that I am building a portal to learn more about this field. Tutoring will allow me to also give back what I have learned throughout the years to those who are as eager to learn.

Learning from first principles is the best way to understand anything, this is the trick lecturers/teachers use to assess understanding. Having that trick up your sleeve gives one an advantage to answer any problem that has been modified to challenge you. Remember lecturers do not lie when they say they examine your understanding. With me you can expect own paced learning, using a variety of examples to help you understand. Just imagine having a study buddy who has answers to your questions. Sounds fun and easy right?!

Thembelihle and I were coTutors to second-year Structural Engineering Students at University. Throughout our tutoring, she always came to the sessions prepared and with notes ready for the students. What stood out to me is that she would go the extra mile of doing question papers in preparation for the lessons to do them in class for the students. The students appreciated this act a lot because it would further clarify any confusion they had. Students would afterwards request Thembelihle for more private lessons when approaching exams. This showed how much they longed for her teachings. With that being said, I recommend Thembelihle in any tutoring position, your learners/students are in safe hands.
