About Ashmit

Hi! I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo, passionate about Mathematics, Physics, and Programming.

I graduated from high school with 99% in Computer Science, 94% in Mathematics, and 94% in Chemistry. Having recently completed high school myself, I understand the challenges students face and know how important it is to have someone who can explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.

Beyond academics, I've been actively involved in leadership, sports, and technology. I've served as a school prefect, captained my school's tennis team, and participated in hackathons where I've worked on real-world technology projects.

I enjoy breaking down complex problems, sharing useful learning techniques, and helping others discover that subjects like Math and Physics can actually be enjoyable.

My goal is to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building a strong understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas or solutions. As a Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo, I understand the importance of clear explanations, logical thinking, and effective problem-solving techniques.

I offer personalized tutoring in Mathematics, and Physics for students in Grades 9–12. Each lesson is tailored to the student's learning pace, strengths, and areas for improvement.

My teaching approach includes:
- Breaking down difficult concepts into simple, understandable steps.
- Using real-world examples to make learning engaging and practical.
- Working through practice problems together to develop confidence.
- Teaching problem-solving strategies that help students tackle unfamiliar questions.
- Providing support with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.

My goal is to make challenging subjects approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding while helping students develop the confidence to solve problems independently.
