About Shan
Why I Want to Be a Biology Tutor
I want to become a Biology tutor because I genuinely enjoy Biology and want to help other students understand and enjoy the subject too. I am currently studying Pharmacology at university, which allows me to build on my Biology knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of areas such as human biology, physiology, cells and how medicines affect the body.
Having studied Biology myself, I understand that some topics can feel difficult or overwhelming, especially when preparing for exams. I want to make these topics easier to understand by explaining them clearly and adapting my teaching to each student’s individual needs.
I would love the opportunity to help students build their confidence, improve their exam technique and achieve their academic goals. I’m patient, approachable and enthusiastic, and I believe that creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed is really important.
