About John
I am a good listener, so I will hear what the student identifies as their weak study area(s). I know that each student will have different needs and abilities and I will work with those. We can use written, audio-visual and, where possible, hands-on exercises to improve a student's comprehension of subject material and on school evaluations. You, the student, are the focus. I will always find a way for the student to understand the material.

The lessons are geared to the level the student needs help with, including doing any needed remedial work. In a typical lesson, I would discuss with the student what they already know about a section of work or assignment they have. I would then work on any blank/difficult areas with the student. The student's weak areas are the focus of each lesson.

I have enjoyed teaching high school biology, math, physics, and chemistry for over 50 years. I can also help students with similar elementary school subjects as well as their writing skills. I am located in Rockland, east of Ottawa.
