About Rahul
Hello there! My name is Rahul Nair and in 2022 I graduated from Queensland’s top performing high-school, Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology with an IB 44.75, which is equivalent to a 99.80 ATAR. Currently, I am a first-year medical student at the University of the Sunshine Coast where I begin a 7-year degree which will see me complete my Doctor of Medicine (MD) where I hope to eventually specialise into my dream career, a cardiothoracic surgeon.
The goal of medicine was a childhood dream of mine and I attribute my academic drive and success to this goal. It served as a constant source of motivation and helped me persevere through the academic struggles to help me get to where I am today. Through this experience, I have realised how rewarding it can be to achieve the life goals we set out for ourselves, and so I hope to use tutoring as a platform to help students achieve their own goals.

I am offering tutoring for students from Years 3-12.
I am confident in delivering sessions that will help you breakdown difficult concepts into easier to understand material or gain an advantage over other students in your cohort.
Internal Assessments
I have much experience in writing, proofreading, and providing feedback on internal assessments. Having achieved a 22/24 on both my Chemistry and Biology HL IAs I understand the requirements of writing high quality assignments and will provide you with strategies and a fool-proof structure which will guide you to maximise your marks in these assessments.
How will I help you as a tutor?
The journey to achieving high grades, and doing so consistently, is not easy, but is a journey we’ll take together. As a tutor, I will tailor my sessions to your individual needs, helping you feel comfortable and confident in your subjects.
Moreover, with over two years of tutoring experience, I have also learned, grown and adapted. I believe the most successful tutors help students deconstruct their thinking process, identifying their mistakes, and implanting strategies to rectify these mistakes. By following this process, I ensure you will see consistent progress and improvement whilst finding enjoyment in your subjects.

As a tutor I strive to build a rapport with my students, ensuring they understand the content and feel comfortable in their learning environment, therefore I am adaptable in terms of how I deliver tutoring lessons, whether that be through online platforms such as Zoom/Google Meet/ Microsoft Teams or in person either at your home or at any mutual location.
