About Anthony
Hi, I'm Anthony! I'm studying Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics and Finance, alongside a Diploma in Mathematical Sciences specializing in Statistics and Stochastic Processes.
My teaching style is built around understanding, not memorization. I break concepts down into clear, manageable steps, check in regularly to make sure things are actually clicking, and adjust my approach based on how each student learns best — whether that's through worked examples, visual explanations, or lots of guided practice. I put a strong emphasis on exam technique too, since knowing the content is only half the battle; being able to apply it confidently under time pressure is just as important.
No two students learn the same way, so I try to keep lessons flexible and responsive rather than following a rigid script. I'll adjust pacing, revisit tricky topics as many times as needed, and mix in past exam questions once the fundamentals are solid, so students build both knowledge and confidence over time.
I'm looking forward to helping you strengthen your understanding and get real results.

My approach to tutoring:
I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation, breaking down complex concepts into clear, structured steps tailored to how each student learns best. Lessons typically run for 60-90 minutes, combining targeted content review, guided practice, and past exam questions to build both knowledge and exam technique under time pressure.
I bring 5+ years of tutoring experience, having founded and grown my own tutoring business to over 30 students, while also coaching and mentoring students in academic and sporting settings at my former school. I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) at the University of Melbourne alongside a concurrent Diploma in Mathematical Sciences specialising in Statistics and Stochastic Processes (First Class Honours in both).
My lessons are best suited to high school students (Years 7-12, including VCE) looking to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their exam performance, or get ahead on more challenging topics. I tailor each session to the student's goals, whether that's catching up, consolidating, or aiming for top-band results.
