About Ryan
A personable, friendly and knowledgable secondary level Computer Science tutor. I've been exposed to programming for over 10 years. I'm currently studying Computer Science as part of my college course, and have developed a number of self-led projects. I'm results orientated, and invested in helping to attain the student's desired grade. I've attained my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, and as a result I've gained deep knowledge in the structuring of lessons, especially one-on-one online classes.

I've been exposed to computer science for over 10 years, so I'm more than equiped to tutor students for their Leaving Cert. I provide 40-50 minute classes online for a below average rate. Lessons taught with an emphasis on preparing for the MCQs/Long Questions/Programming, depending on the requirements of the student. The level, aspirations and focus for the student will be established in a free 25-30 minute lesson.
Before the lesson, a small amount of material will be sent to the student for them to prepare them for the topic of the lesson. This will be very brief, and quickly reviewed during the lesson.
The structure of the lesson will depend on the student's focus/level, whether that be on the MCQs/Long Questions/Programming. The teaching will be done through specific targetted activites which I will guide. In regards to programming lessons, there will be an emphasis on the student talking me through their approach to help me guide the student towards the correct approach. I take personal notes for each student, paying special attention to any repeated mistakes which we can review at the end of the lesson.
After the lesson there will be a brief consolidation task focussed on the topic of the lesson.
