About Olivia
I am a 21 year old university graduate with a B.A. in French language and literature. I began university during my last year of high school, and I graduated over a year early. I chose to major in French because I adore the language and culture. I've always been a very dedicated student, and I believe my grades reflect that, but the main reason I would like to tutor is that I love sharing knowledge and understanding with others. One on one teaching is my favorite kind, as I find it creates a better environment to communicate and generate understanding. It's a more comfortable way to ask questions and learn, and having a personal conversation with someone can create a better sense of comprehension in general.

I think the most important aspect of tutoring is the ability to ask questions and take the time the student needs to understand a topic. In general, having a one-on-one conversation about a specific subject is a wonderful way to work on the student's understanding. I believe that having a good layout for the goals of the student is crucial, and that moving through a schedule at the students' pace, but in a set timeline, is very important. Basically, I'd like to be available for my students, and I plan to be very patient with their process, and hopefully influence them in a positive way to give them motivation to learn.
