About Jacob
Hi, I'm Jacob, a University of Bristol student studying Economics and Management. I'm passionate about making tricky subjects feel simple, and I enjoy helping students build confidence as well as grades. I've been trained by Mytutor and been certified, and I achieved a grade 8 in GCSE maths and an A in A-level as well as a grade 7 in GCSE computer science and an A in A-level economics. I know firsthand how stressful exams feel, so I aim to keep lessons clear, friendly and focused on what you need.

I tutor GCSE Maths and Computer Science where I got a grade 8 in maths and a grade 7 in Computer Science. I also tutor A-Level maths and Economics, both subjects I got an A in at A-level. My lessons are built around you: we start by working out what you're struggling with, then break each topic into small, clear steps and practise with exam-style questions until it clicks. For Economics, I focus on essay structure, evaluation and using examples in the real world for you to not only learn from but to use to also pick up and find those top marks. For Maths, I focus on showing your working and how to avoid common mistakes as well as using questions to demonstrate proper exam technique. As a student tutor who has recently done exams, I also understand how difficult learning can be in the modern day, so I can help with techniques I used in my exams to really help you excel. Further, I am Mytutor trained and have received a certificate from them. Lessons are typically one hour, and I'm patient, friendly and happy to adapt how you learn.
