About Jian
I am a master student in the University of Melbourne. I used to work as a language teacher in China for nearly 3 years. I taught students both in a big classroom( about 20 students) and individually( private tutor). I have teaching certificate from China and the Cambridge English.

I believe interest is best for students so in my class I use activities a lot to make students participate into the class.
Lesson structure(1 hour reading class for example):
1 warm up (game/ song/...) 2 minutes
2 lead in : get student be familiar with the topic (pictures , students guess what's the story about) 3 minutes
3 new words: let students learn news and difficult words from the reading (sound or pictures or animation) 10 minutes
practice new words using games 5-10 minutes
4 grammar: review or learn sentence structures (examples) 10-15 minutes
practice sentence structures using games 5-10 minutes
5 read and act: students read the text or follow and repeat, then act it out 15 minutes
6 post reading : written exercises and review the lesson 5-10 minutes
