About Ishaan
I've always been sceptical when it comes to people who claim that they simply "can't do maths"––it's almost always the case that it's not been taught properly! Memorise these formulae and learn when to apply them, remember these rules and test yourself on them: all valid approaches when it comes to getting through an exam, but all of which defeat the purpose of learning maths itself. As a maths student who is fortunate enough to study at Oxford and have encountered some success in the subject––be it in olympiads, admissions tests or public exams––I would love nothing more than to enrich the mathematical understanding and capabilities of my students in order to help them realise their future dreams!

– With a background in pure mathematics, I strongly value building intuition and deriving techniques by formalising this intuition so that my students can apply them confidently without being formulaic. – Lessons last for 1 hour (flexible) and are targeted at those doing (Further) Maths A-Level, largely at people applying to Oxbridge for subjects with maths-heavy admission tests or interviews (e.g. Economics, Computer Science etc.) – Qualifications include a top score in the MAT (100/100), a top 25 score in STEP III (109/120), the highest national score in OCR A Further Maths A-Level as well as awards in BMO1 and 2
