About Ria
I am a junior at Vanderbilt University majoring in Political Science and Economics with a minor in Computer Science. I have 3 years of experience teaching kids from ages 7-12 in reading comprehension, writing, and math as well as 3 months of experience teaching refugees and immigrants how to speak, read, and write English. Outside of school, I love reading, hiking, soccer, and dancing! I'm so excited to build a great relationship with my students and provide support in any way they need. My goal is to create a safe and fun space and allow my students to feel heard and for their needs to be met.

I have a 3.95 GPA at Vanderbilt University and am confident in my ability to help my students be equally as successful. I scored a 760 on the Reading section of the SAT and have learned the exam skills needed to do well. Furthermore, I love kids and want to create a fun environment that is actually useful to the student. I hope to assist with homework, essays, and standardized tests, but would be happy to present my own practice assignments if that is desired! I hope my fun personality and compassion show through and supplement my academic skills to ensure success for all my students.
