About Greta
I’m Greta, a French tutor with a strong background in immersive language learning and a genuine passion for helping others feel more comfortable using French in real life. I’ve studied French for years in both academic and immersive environments, including learning from native speakers and spending time abroad, which has shaped how I understand and teach the language.
I keep the environment relaxed and encouraging, because I know that learning a language can feel intimidating at first. My priority is to create a space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and actually improving from them.
I’m reliable, communicative, and committed to helping my students see real progress, whatever the objective may be!

I approach tutoring in a way that feels tailored to each student. My goal is not just to help students memorize French, but to help them use it with confidence. I focus primarily on conversation and real-life application.
A typical lesson might include a quick review of previous material, introduction of a new concept (grammar or vocabulary), guided practice (speaking or writing), and then more open-ended conversation or application. I like to include real-world content like articles, short videos, or scenarios so students can see how French is actually used. However, specific focuses are up to the student's request!
After 13 years of immersion education and 4 years of undergraduate studying, having graduated with a minor in French, I am evaluated as C1, so my lessons are best fit for beginners-intermediate learners.
