About Nikita
I am a positive minded and enthusiastic English graduate with a 2:1 Classification in English Literature from University College London, currently based in Edinburgh.
As I am a former student from a high school in Edinburgh, I am familiar with both the Scottish and English Curriculums and am able to tailor a programme of english study to cater to the personal course that the student requires. I am available to teach both primary and secondary students and am also happy to assist students needing support in their personal statements for University.

I have experience in teaching English literature A-Level classes, and in leading critical thinking classes to pupils aged 12-18. I have also tutored Oxbridge hopefuls in interview practise.
My tutoring method is personal, so I aim to meet any student (with a parent or guardian if appropriate) pior to an initial session to ascertain the reason for seeking out private tutoring, and to discuss goals. This way I hope to cater my lessons directly to a pupil's needs. From here I'm willing to proceed in whatever way best suits, whether that be in recapping material together, breaking down exam criteria, or in setting small tests etc. But my preferred method of teaching is led by debate, discussion and mutual discovery.
I am perhaps best equipped to tutor pupils who are keen to explore beyond the exam syllabus in order to nuance their wider opinions and develop new thinking strategies for the benefit of essay writing and university interviews.
