About Umair
Hi! I’m a year 12 student taking Maths Further Maths and Economics at a top 5 sixth form in the country who is predicted 3 A*. The reason I want to teach is because I never had a tutor growing up and it resulted in my having to work twice as hard as my peers just to keep up with them until I focused more on how to revise rather than what to revise. This boosted my grades significantly and my goal is to give back to those who also don’t have tutors to help them out and pass down the study methods that helped me excel in a top sixth form.

My personal belief is that students know their weaknesses far better than their teachers, and the education system is faulty as it focuses on entire class needs rather than individual weaknesses. My approach will be to take requests from my students and teach them in an interactive, practical manner. I can only teach you as well as you explain your weaknesses to me, so you must know yourself.
