About Olivia
Hello
Teaching or tutoring in GCSE English is something that has interested me since my own GCSE exam year, in which I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE English language and a grade 7 in GCSE English Literature.
In 2022 I completed my A levels and went on to achieve an A* in English Literature and an A in History. Now, I am in my first year of university studying history.
I received excellent English teaching throughout secondary school, and was shocked upon discussion with my friends at different schools to find that not everyone was taught to use the same methods that I was to simplify and refine exam technique at both GCSE and A level. Having many subjects to balance and revise for is extremely challenging, and I found the best way for me to practice and revise was to have a routine yet versatile formula for what to include in the answers for my essay subjects.

Lessons will be an hour long and will focus on techniques to effectively pick up marks in exams.
As a student who completed their A levels in 2022, I found it extremely useful to have a routine in analysing and writing my essay answers.
I can provide completely new material to study or alternatively we can revisit previous questions and material from school or college.
My lessons are designed for students at GCSE level for English Language.
