About Connor
I’m a third-year medical student at the University of Cambridge with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. Having achieved 4 A*s at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, I know first-hand what it takes to excel in these demanding subjects. I have experience tutoring students one-on-one, teaching classes, and marking exam papers. As someone who sat these exams myself not long ago, I understand the pressure and expectations involved, and I aim to provide clear, supportive and effective guidance. Having completed my studies at a state comprehensive and as the first member of my family to attend university, I understand how overwhelming and difficult this stage of your life can be, especially in an environment where you are facing these challenges with limited support. I hope that my lessons and advice will support you, and help your confidence grow in preparation for your exams and future endeavours.

My tutoring is student focused and adaptable. I will ensure that each lesson is tailored to each individual's learning style. I strongly believe that a solid understanding of key concepts is integral for students to be able to effectively memorise the large amounts of information required for GCSE and A-level examinations, while also providing them with the necessary problem-solving skills required to answer more advanced questions. In addition, a clear understanding of exam technique - in addition to content - would be my other focus. By understanding how to tackle questions and what is required from you to gain marks, students will feel ready to face their exams and answer questions that will stretch their understanding of the content. I have experience in assisting students in these subjects, having tutored one-on-one, taught lessons and marked exam papers during my time at school. In addition, as a current undergraduate student, it was not long ago since I sat my own A-level exams, and so I am still familiar with both the structure and content of the examinations. I am also well placed to assist students hoping to apply to medicine, and happy to provide advice for admission tests, personal statements and interviews. My lessons would typically be an hour, but this can be changed to suit the student. I will be offering lessons in GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
