Teaching is brilliant. I've been tutoring young people since my first set of exams, and have been working as a Maths & English Instructor at Kumon Educational UK for three years. Thanks to this unique blend of experience, I've learned a multitude of teaching techniques from different sources, which when combined, leads to engaging and rewarding lessons with students.
I currently study Physics, Music and Computer Science at the University of St Andrews. These three subjects are very much aligned with my passions, allowing me to tutor in them with enthusiasm. Studying them should help me secure a place in the growing market of Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on Music producing AI.
I focus my sessions on preparing students for the exam questions relevant to their subject, going through the units in an ordered way that allows them to understand the material in a more engaging manner. It is easy to lose focus in class when teachers skirt around the essential material which I, on the other hand, will be drawing more focus to.
Of course, If a student has a particular area they want to study that week I will gladly switch the lesson to accommodate this. It's important that the student feels in control of their learning when they are with a tutor, and I provide an environment where that is encouraged.
