About Alvaro
I am a Portuguese and English language teacher with over 30 years of experience. I have a degree in Languages, specializing in Portuguese, a Masters in Education and a Doctorate in Linguistics. I have extensive experience in teaching languages, both for Brazilians learning English and for foreigners learning Portuguese. I am very attentive to the needs of my students, preparing courses that fit their profiles. I am very patient and careful with my students. Classes are dynamic and interesting, so learning is gradual and enjoyable.

My methodology for teaching languages is entirely conversational. I use several pedagogical resources and learning techniques that promote a quick and efficient mastery of the target language. I really enjoy working with the communicative approach, but I use other pedagogical resources that meet the needs of my students. I have vast experience to take my student from the most basic level (real beginner) to advanced.
