About Emilie
I graduated high school last year and am currently taking a break before going to university to study medicine. I studied maths and the sciences until NCEA L3 and passed L3 with excellence. Through high school, I was a volunteer tutor to younger students and discovered a love of teaching and a skill that I didn't know I had. Because of that, I would love to keep tutoring in my year off as I also believe that teaching is one of the best ways to keep learning yourself.

My lessons can be for anyone up to Year 12 (for years 11 and 12 only students taking NCEA). My approach to teaching has always been to find various ways of explaining things until we can find a way that makes sense and will stick with you. It is important to me that you learn and understand the content instead of memorising the content or only understanding the answer to one question.
I am very flexible on the lesson length- it depends on the student. However, I generally believe that an hour should be the max. amount of time spent.
