About Hamisi

I am professional, experienced, and native Swahili language and cross culture facilitator with a certificate of recognition from Tanzania National Swahili Council “BAKITA” which is promoting and regulating Swahili language.

I have already worked with many embassies and international organizations virtually and on ground, such US Peace Corps, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Fench, Indonesian embassy, etc as a facilitator of Swahili with success

About the lesson

My teaching approach is task-based language learning with a lot of class activities, games, energiers, and in a fum way without going out of our target.

Then, my teaching based on communication rather than grammar and you will find the grammar mostly in context.

I attended the training of “sector specific language training” which always is applicable in my sessions.

Last but not least in each topic of my session, you will get the chance of knowning the cultural issues based on that topic.

I met Hamisi through a recommendation and I was very impressed with his approach of the first lesson.
He introduced me not just into the syllabus of our future lessons, but also to the Tanzanian culture as such. I felt like it was a very smart way how to get me excited about the language because it is such an important part of the culture.
We had a one to one every week for almost half a year and I was very happy with his well-structured and well-prepared lessons.
Also, he was very punctual and always had a big smile on his face.
I can recommend Hamisi to everyone who wants to explore the lovely language of East Africa, Kiswahili.

Hamisi is a great mwalimu! He is very engaging and consistent with his approach. His lessons are fun and he teaches more than just words and phrases, but also the cultural significance and depth that these words carry. Highly recommend!
