"You might assume that reading sheet music is the first step, but we begin by focusing on the physical sensation of the instrument. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice to assist your memory between sessions. This method is particularly effective for adults and kids aiming for grade exams. My background at the Conservatoire allows me to break down complex repertoire into achievable fragments.
Hobbyists often appreciate how I connect technical requirements to the broader landscape of music theory. You will find that these sessions emphasize sustainable physical habits over rushed results. Creating a clear sound is an exploration that brings me a great deal of joy."

"Shifting positions and double stops require a blend of technical discipline and physical grace. I rely on my MMus training to analyze tone production and bowing technique for every student.
Through 132 students taught in 8 years, I have seen how ear training and rhythm influence musicality. I integrate scales and arpeggios into a framework that honors the complexity of the violin.
