As a private French tutor, my approach aims to develop both language proficiency and a love of reading, writing, and self-expression. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, combining rigor with creativity.
I focus on the fundamentals (grammar, verb conjugation, spelling) through targeted exercises and clear explanations. I also incorporate text analysis, active reading, and written and oral expression activities. I encourage students to expand their vocabulary and organize their thoughts, particularly through clear methods for writing essays, book reports, or dissertations.
The session begins with a short dictation or a review exercise to reinforce what has been learned. We then address a specific concept (for example: subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, figures of speech, or methodology). This is followed by practical application through guided exercises, then more independent work (essay writing, text analysis). The lesson concludes with detailed feedback and personalized advice.
I emphasize comprehension rather than rote memorization. I help students develop automatic skills while providing them with concrete tools to succeed on their exams. I also place great importance on literary culture, offering a variety of texts tailored to their interests.
My French lessons are designed for students from elementary school through high school, as well as adults who wish to improve their written and spoken French. I also offer exam preparation with practice tailored to the specific exam formats.
