About Billy

I have worked as a tutor for over five years, and I understand the time and money invested when a student hires a private tutor. I take pride in doing my best to help my students maximize their growth and meet their educational goals. I strive to be the tutor that I would want for myself or either of my two children.

About the lesson

When I begin working with a student, I first take the time to understand their educational goals, where they are currently, and what steps must be taken to close that gap.

I used evidence-based practices such as spaced repetition, establishing clear goals for each session, and providing frequent feedback.

Establishing rapport with my students and creating a comfortable learning environment are core to my approach. I believe that this helps students communicate and accept constructive feedback more effectively.

I am lucky that my wife is a teacher working on her doctorate in education. She helps me to cater lessons and continue to grow as an educator.

I am a Ph.D. student studying ecology and evolutionary biology. My BA is in mathematics, and I've tutored for over five years. I am passionate about math, science, and education, and I love helping s
