About Jenny
I’m currently studying Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where I received a $100,000 scholarship. I completed the IB Diploma Programme with a predicted score of 41/42 and received offers from universities including Imperial College London, UC Berkeley, and the University of Waterloo.
Beyond academics, I was selected as a Top 10 finalist out of 3,000+ entries in The New York Times STEM Writing Contest. I have also completed bioinformatics research at UC San Diego and founded an education initiative that has provided STEM learning resources to 800+ students in Cambodia. With 3 years of IB tutoring experience, I bring both strong academic experience and a genuine focus on helping students understand difficult material clearly and confidently.

My lessons follow a structured progression from concept mastery to exam-level performance. For each topic, I create custom study notes by combining and extracting the most important material from IB textbooks and resources, so students can focus on what they actually need to understand and remember for exams. Once the concepts are clear, we move through problems step by step — from foundational questions to increasingly challenging exam-style questions — until the student can approach IB-level problems independently and confidently.
As exams approach, lessons become increasingly focused on consistent past-paper practice, exam strategy, time management, and identifying recurring weaknesses together. Rather than simply completing questions, I teach students how to recognize question types, choose the right approach, structure high-scoring answers, and learn from every mistake. I have 3 years of IB tutoring experience and offer IB Economics, Math, Biology, Chemistry, English and Korean, as well as general middle and high school mathematics. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s school curriculum, current level, and target grade, with the goal of turning difficult material into a clear, repeatable system they can use confidently on their own.
