About Tj
Hi! I’m a licensed 5–12 math teacher, dog lover, escape room enthusiast, and big believer that math should feel like discovery—not drudgery. I’m here for the students who’ve been told they’re not “math people,” the ones who ask “why does this matter?” and the ones who need just the right spark to make it all click. My approach blends structure with curiosity, humor with support. I see math as a language of patterns and logic, and I love helping students see it that way too. I bring energy, empathy, and plenty of real talk to each session—no judgment, just progress. Outside of teaching, you’ll usually find me on a roller skate commute, planning math lessons with coffee in hand, or rewatching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for the thousandth time. Let’s make math make sense!

As a licensed 5–12 math teacher, I help students go from “I hate math” to “I’ve got this.” My lessons are clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s strengths and needs. I work with learners across grades 5–12—whether they need to build strong foundations, catch up on tricky topics, or push ahead with Algebra, Statistics, or beyond. I focus on real understanding, not just memorizing steps. We look for patterns, make connections, and break math down into ideas that actually make sense. I love helping students build confidence, ask better questions, and realize that math isn’t just rules—it’s a language of patterns. And yes—we keep it fun, too.
