About Jazmine
Hi! I’m Jazmine and I’m a current third-year undergraduate majoring in Neuroscience. I am looking to tutor K-12 students, primarily in Mathematics. As a new tutor, I would like to start with the following subjects: I have proficiency in Chemistry, Algebra I & II, and Precalculus. I aim to be a beaming source of encouragement for my tutees! My goal at the end of each tutoring session is to ensure you leave with confidence in your topic of needed assistance.
My plan for each tutoring session is as follows: (1) conduct a pre-survey on the course you need assistance in, (2) before each session, discuss which topics are being covered in your course for the week, or discuss which topics you need assistance with, (3) hold our virtual tutoring session, where we review basic concepts, do problems, and then you do and teach me problems, (4) conducting a feedback survey on what I can improve on to better assist you.

I have proficiency in General Chemistry, Algebra I & II, and Precalculus at the High School and College levels. For this coursework, I maintained a 4.0 GPA and retained previous notes for which I can reference and base lessons on. Before each lesson, I plan to create outlines and key points that you need to know and which you may remember for any upcoming homework, tests, or exams. I will also do my best to compile resources relevant to the topic that you require assistance in for a given session. I believe in a teamwork approach: to maximize the effectiveness of sessions, I will provide practice problems which you and I will both solve and explain our steps. I also believe learning through mistakes: if you make a mistake, I ask you to review your process and approach for the problem. I will guide you through the steps if necessary, noting where common mistakes occur.
