About Sophia
As a high school student I always loved math but I wasn't sure I wanted to continue with it as a career. For this reason I worked many years as a baker. However I then decided to return to university and fell back in love with math and particularly statistics.
Meanwhile, I also learned how much fear and frustration there is around math. For this reason I began tutoring university math/statistic students. I loved seeing their confidence grow and allowing a safe space for them to ask any questions.
For this reason I decided to expand my tutoring services to more students and more levels.

The first step to math and statistics tutoring is to let people know it's not scary and that they don't need to be a genius to learn these concepts.
We will go through problems together and break them down to understand why those steps are taken to solve the problem.
We then compare questions and discuss how we can apply what we had done previously.
This is done with a smile and support.
