About Harun
I'm Harun, a mathematician and computer scientist currently pursuing a PhD at Stanford, where my research focuses on formal verification and AI. I grew up across three continents, studied Pure Mathematics at Imperial College London, and represented my country at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
Outside academics, I'm a Stanford ski racer who loves the mountains, an avid climber and hiker, and someone who believes that the same mindset that makes a great athlete makes a great mathematician: discipline, creative thinking, and a willingness to struggle through hard problems until they break open.
I love working with curious, motivated students and genuinely get excited when a concept finally clicks for someone. Math changed how I see the world, and I'd love to share that with you.

I'm a Stanford CS PhD student and IMO Bronze Medalist with a Pure Mathematics degree from Imperial College London, and I've coached students from SAT prep to national olympiad level.
My approach centers on genuine understanding over memorization. I guide students to discover ideas rather than just receive them. A typical session starts with diagnosing exactly where you're stuck, then we work through concepts together until the logic clicks, not just the answer.
I teach all levels: SAT/ACT and AP Calculus through to university mathematics and olympiad competition training. I also have experience in college admissions at Stanford, so I can help with application strategy and academic positioning too.
Whether you're aiming for 800 on SAT Math, an IMO medal, or a place at Stanford, I'll meet you where you are.
