About Shorook
I am an 18-year-old high school graduate from Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School in NJ (top in the state). I won the Poetry Out Loud NJ Region 6 competition this year. I have been competing in spoken word competitions for the past 3 years, and I have won 1st place international.
I graduated having gained my Emergency Medical Technician certificate and license from the NREMT. I also interned in labs at prestigious universities such as NYU and Weill Cornell Medicine. I am the eldest of 6 and love children and have experience teaching ages 6-15 for the past 3 years! I am currently a medical student and have been accepted into a 5-year medical program :)

I will help you understand what you’re saying, how to channel specific emotions to specific parts, and most importantly: how to be CONFIDENT!
I have a unique approach towards teaching any ages, from 10+ I create individualized lesson plans for you, based on your learning style, such as more visual guides for visual learners and more hands-on activities for tactile learners. I will assess your current level and help you reach your target in whatever field you aim to ace. I will provide occasional benchmark testing to evaluate previous knowledge before grasping new concepts.
