About Rosa
I have a multi-faceted and tailored approach to teaching, allowing students to engage on their own terms so they can genuinely retain lesson content rather than learning by rote. Given my own high level of experience in academic and literary contexts, I aim to inspire confidence in students by instilling my own sense of enthusiasm for literature. I am a recent graduate of the BA in English Literature from University College, Dublin, from which I graduated with a First Class Honours degree. I have won multiple awards for poetry and my writing has been published in acclaimed journals. I have experience tutoring young people at various levels, and am particularly experienced with exam prep, essay writing and comprehension/close reading. I am very familiar with the English curriculum and have been described as highly capable and communicative as well as fun and approachable.

Knowledge of A-Level and GCSE syllabi, able to travel. Lessons are 1-1.5 hours, at £25-£55 each. I have privately tutored in London and Glasgow. I am a published poet and have led seminars and workshops at universities and galleries, bringing a strong academic and creative approach to learning.

I was lucky enough to get to know Rosa when i was in college, struggling in a few of my classes. Despite being younger than me, Rosa was able to help me make sense of the texts I was studying, and really helped me to think about literature from different perspectives - and make that show in my assignments and criticism!
Rosa was always organised and yet never made it feel like a super structured class where there was punishment for being confused, or a right or wrong answer, the right answer was to be confident in my ideas and to not be afraid to think hard about a text.
