About Ola
I am an experienced singer - songwriter and singing teacher with both pop & classical training. I have studied at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London (Masters in vocals) and before that The School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Krakow/ Poland. I am qualified by London College of Music & Certified Instructor by The Institute of Vocal Advancement, also familiar with Estill Voice Model.
I have loads of musical experience from early age ( I started playing violin age 5) from touring with reggae artists to being a member of an opera house choir.
I am a recording artist and songwriter (soul, pop, rap). You can find me on Youtube as "Ola Igboaka” I have released 2 solo albums, I am played on the radio in Poland :) I am currently recording my English material. :) I have also broad experience in UK as a session singer, bands member and arranger.

Do you write songs or want to create your own music? Do you need help with taking your voice to a next level or want to improve your writing and become more confident as an artist?
I can guide you and help reach your goals. I will deliver personalised feedback and training adjusted to your individual needs and objectives.
I am a flexible, kind and open minded teacher with 7 years experience coaching singers and singers/ songwriters and rappers - with a broad understanding of music and styles and ability to connect with people.
I have been working with students across different genres from choir members to rappers, pop and rock singers to people leading singing prayers groups; signed artists to beginners… I mainly teach adults.
I will do my best to understand your aims and ambitions and guide you to reach your musical goals.
I am back to in-person lessons in my home studio in Crouch End N8 or online (if preferred)
I offer lessons to:
• improve your technique, build your confidence, get more control over your voice
• sing in a healthy way with no strain
• expand your vocal range and power, reduce breaks and weak areas
• record warm-ups that will work best for the difficulties you have
•help you with writing your own songs (structures, melodies, keys, tempos)
• develop your own style and sound
• express emotions and ideas through music
• work on singing backing voice and harmonies
• improve pitching & musical awareness
• read music and understand music theory to the extend it’s needed for you
•learn about different styles, pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, classical, ethno etc.
•in my studio you will have a chance to sing with a microphone or record demos of your songs or covers with my guidance
• prepare for auditions, performances, recordings and entry exams
• prepare for music theory exams ( grades, uni)
• basics of piano playing and accompaniment, playing all chords, transposition
•help you set realistic goals, find confidence, plan your next steps, share my knowledge about music industry, fight stage anxiety, plan your single or album release
