About Joshua
Hello! My name is Joshua, and I love learning languages. I am a senior in college getting a degree in Chinese Studies, and then after that I hope to go into the Peace Corps and then medical school. I hope to work in international medicine.
I understand how terrifying Chinese can be. I moved to China not knowing any Chinese, but now I love the language. Whether you are a student, preparing for a proficiency exam, or just interested in learning the language for fun, I would love to help you progress in Chinese and fall in love with the language and the culture behind it.

When I was learning Mandarin in China, I realized that what was best was to practice speaking constantly. For this reason, I like to hold all of my sessions in Mandarin as much as possible. A session typically includes a new set of vocabulary, reading an example text, and a conversation about the new material. I am currently pursuing my degree in Chinese Studies, and I have lived in China, Singapore, and Malaysia for over two years of my life.
