About Autria
At Villanova, I am an active member of the tutoring center, primarily working with freshmen and sophomores on general math and science courses, as well as the chemical engineering curriculum. I have also been online tutoring high school students in math and science for the past four years. In addition to my academic work, I have professional experience applying my knowledge in industry at Applied Research Associates in Arlington, Virginia, and in research on nuclear fusion at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.

In my lessons, I work with students to enhance their thinking skills. The goal is to teach them how to independently think through problems and apply these skills to various situations, such as tests. I engage students by asking questions during examples and encouraging them to articulate their problem-solving process. This approach helps identify and address any gaps in understanding.

Autria helped me with general chemistry and calc 1 and 2. The classes were really hard for me and it takes me a while to understand some of the concepts. She helped me find areas to focus on and then we worked through problems together until I understood. She's really patient and explains things in a way that really made sense to me.
