About Andi

Hi, I’m Andi — a passionate and friendly tutor who believes learning should feel personal, engaging, and empowering. I’ve worked with students of all ages and learning styles, including neurodiverse learners, and I always adapt my lessons to suit your needs. I focus on building confidence through creative, conversation-based lessons that include real-world materials like music, film, and interactive activities. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to sharpen your skills, I’m here to guide you with patience, encouragement, and structure. If you're looking for lessons that are effective, relaxed, and tailored to you, I’d love to work with you!

About the lesson

As a private tutor, I believe that learning should be personal, engaging, and tailored to you. My approach is rooted in intentional lesson design, meaning I carefully craft each session based on your unique goals, interests, and learning style. Whether you're studying for school, brushing up on conversation skills, or learning a language from scratch, I adapt the pace and content to make sure you're not just learning — you're enjoying the process. What makes my teaching style unique is my focus on connection and creativity. I don’t just follow a textbook. I incorporate music, films, podcasts, and real-life scenarios that match your tastes and keep you motivated. From curated listening lists to custom exercises, everything is designed around you. I also create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you’re encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with confidence. Methodology Highlights: • Individualized lesson planning • Conversational and immersive techniques • Integration of multimedia like music and film • Strong focus on clarity, confidence, and long-term retention • Gentle correction with practical feedback Languages I Teach In: • English (native proficiency) • French (intermediate to advanced instruction) • Shona (conversational basics) • Portuguese (beginner) • Korean (beginner level for absolute starters) What to Expect from a Typical Lesson: • A warm check-in and brief recap of the previous lesson • Tailored material based on your goals like grammar, conversation, writing, or test prep • Engaging activities like role play, listening practice, or real-world application • Notes and optional assignments to reinforce the lesson • Space for questions, clarification, and encouragement No two students are the same and neither are my lessons. Who My Lessons Are For: • Learners of all ages including children, teens, and adults • Students who are neurodiverse or prefer alternative teaching approaches • Beginners who want a friendly and nonintimidating start • Intermediate learners wanting to improve fluency, confidence, or exam readiness • Anyone who learns best with personalization, patience, and a touch of creativity
