About Saema
I am a passionate Maths teacher who genuinely enjoys helping students discover what they are capable of. As a Secondary School Lead Practitioner of Maths, I have spent the last six years teaching students of all abilities and building strong relationships that help them grow both academically and personally.
My teaching style is firm, supportive, and goal-driven. I believe students achieve their best when they are challenged and encouraged to aim high, but also when they know they have someone in their corner supporting them along the way. I will always push my students to give their best effort, while making sure the support I provide is tailored to their individual learning needs.
One of my favourite parts of teaching is taking a concept that initially feels difficult and breaking it down into clear, manageable steps until it finally clicks. Seeing a student go from saying "I can't do this" to feeling confident and enjoying the challenge is what makes teaching maths so rewarding for me.
I place a huge value on building positive relationships with my students. I believe trust, communication, and mutual respect are the foundations of successful learning. If a student is willing to work hard and show commitment, I will always go above and beyond to support them in reaching their goals.
My aim is not only to help students improve their results, but to help them develop confidence, resilience, and a genuine appreciation for mathematics.

As a Secondary School Lead Practitioner of Maths with six years of classroom experience, I offer expert GCSE Foundation and Higher Maths tuition designed to help students achieve outstanding progress and develop a genuine confidence in mathematics.
My approach combines the experience of a practising classroom teacher with personalised one-to-one support. I begin by identifying each student's strengths, areas for development, and any misconceptions that may be preventing progress. Lessons are then carefully structured around their individual needs, using clear explanations, guided practice, and targeted questioning to develop both understanding and confidence.
I believe the most successful students do not simply memorise methods; they understand the mathematics behind them. My aim is to help students understand why concepts work, apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems, and recognise how mathematics connects to real-world situations.
Whilst achieving strong GCSE results is a key focus, I also want students to enjoy the subject and develop a positive relationship with maths. I have seen many students transform their confidence when they receive the right guidance, encouragement, and support.
For GCSE preparation, lessons include exam-style questions, analysis of common misconceptions, and strategies aligned with examiner expectations to help students maximise their marks. Whether a student is working towards securing a pass, improving their current grade, or aiming for the highest achievements, I provide the challenge and support needed to reach their goals.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for GCSE Foundation and Higher Maths students. As a Lead Practitioner, I bring current classroom expertise, a deep understanding of the GCSE curriculum, and a proven commitment to helping students make meaningful progress.
