About David

I am a qualified secondary school teacher with 6 years’ experience teaching at post-primary level. I hold a Master’s in Education completed through Irish, and I currently teach both Irish (Gaeilge) and French.

I offer focused, one-to-one tuition for secondary school students who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance.

Subjects & Support Offered:

Irish (Gaeilge):

- Junior Cycle & Leaving Cert exam preparation
- Grammar made clear and manageable
- Written comprehension and exam question technique
- Oral Irish preparation and confidence building

French:

- Junior Cycle & Leaving Cert support
- Grammar and sentence structure explained simply
- Written and oral exam preparation
- Vocabulary building and exam strategy

My approach is structured but supportive, with lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students understand how exams work and how to answer questions effectively, rather than relying on memorization.

About the lesson

I offer Irish language tutoring specifically for secondary school students who want to improve their grades, confidence, and understanding of the course material.

I focus on:

- Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert Irish syllabus support
- Exam-focused grammar and written comprehension
- Oral Irish (speaking exam preparation and confidence building)
- Help with essays, questions, and exam technique

My approach is clear and structured, with an emphasis on understanding how to answer exam questions properly rather than just memorizing phrases. Lessons are adapted to each student’s level and areas of difficulty.

I aim to make Irish more manageable and less stressful, especially for students who find certain parts of the course challenging.

Lesson details:
- One-to-one lessons
- Online
- Flexible scheduling (evenings and weekends available)
- Focus on steady improvement and exam results

If you’re preparing for exams or just want to improve your Irish grade, feel free to get in touch.
