About Emily
When I was a grade 12 student, I wanted nothing more than to get into a pre-med program for post-secondary education. During this time, I met a girl who was in the same shoes as me but was having difficulty understanding some topics. I volunteered to help her learn and was able to help her pass the course.
I took a year-long break for my first year of university to give myself time to adjust to a new school, and I am back better than ever.
I was selected by a professor at my school to help tutor new first-year chemistry students, share my experiences, and maybe one day they can be like me!
So, why not help even more students across the world?

I take a fun and easy-to-follow approach to break down difficult topics into easier samples of information for the student to understand. I will begin with asking the student what questions they have with their homework, and design a lesson plan based on what subjects I believe they need help with.
What I try to make different about myself is how I care more about teaching the fundamentals for a student and will take as much time as it needs to learn the basic skills. I will then teach students how these skills are applied to more difficult topics.
That being said, I am not concerned if a lesson takes a little longer than scheduled if it means a student is getting to learn!
