About Ann
My name is Ann Cooper and I am a second year student at Cardiff University studying Philosophy and Religion! At school I loved English. I achieved an 8 and 9 at GCSE and an A at English Literature a level.
Despite not continuing my love of English at university, I would love to be able to share this with students and ensure I can further help them!
Although I excelled at English, this unfortunately was not the case for Maths. I understand what it is like to find a subject difficult as well as the knock on impact it had on my confidence. I was fortunate enough to have a tutor who helped me with maths as well as improving my confidence. I would love the opportunity to do this for other students as I understand how challenging it can be!

Things my lessons will involve:
• visual learning: such as using rebus puzzles. These are pictures which help express words. It may be useful when learning quotes!
• memory dumps: jotting down everything you remember and then filling in the blanks
• quizzes: a fun way to test your memory
• revision catered towards exam questions: instead of just learning the curriculum I believe it is useful to learn in a way that is applicable for an exam. For example, instead of just learning the plot of a book it would be useful to learn the themes. This revision is more efficient as it is catered towards exams!
I was fortunate enough to have a Tutor during school to help me. I understand the difficulties and knock on confidence it can have when you struggle with a subject. Therefore, I wish to give students the help that I was lucky to have. I wish to create an environment where students feel comfortable enough to express their challenges so that we can overcome them.
