About Natalie
Math is just a puzzle, a very long complicated puzzle— but once you understand a puzzle it is easy to solve. I aim to help students understand what they don't understand. My favorite teacher in High School, wasn't my AP Calc teacher(but he was in the top 5), but my Japanese teacher. I loved not knowing something and having to figure it out like the puzzle that all learning is. He helped me realize the importance of a strong study schedule and strong study techniques. I have been a math tutor for 3 years now, and many say I can help them understand math. Math is one of my favorite subjects and I can't wait to help others understand math.

I like to set up a study plan with students, where the students do most of the work— I am just here as a guide. A typical session will start with going over what the student's goals are and the strategies we will use to get there. We will then go over things that a student struggled with in the last session, and build up from there. I know how it is to struggle in math, I wasn't always the best at it. But I know how to look at a problem, and where to start. I can be a good math tutor for Middle School and High School students, and also a good tutor for low-level math students in College who just need a boost. I am also available to work with high school chemistry students. I am currently a Business and Accounting student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I have taken all the math classes available at my High School, from Algebra 1 to AP Calc AB. I am willing and excited to work with students from all backgrounds.
