About Gavin
I have recently taken the SAT, scoring 1580. I studied for three months, which is roughly the time frame I recommend to my students. I am currently studying AI frameworks. This has given me an incredible base in mathematics and computer science. When I was in these classes in high school, I joined math and AI club to tutor struggling students for volunteer hours. With this, I am more than qualified to help middle school or high school students.

I am fully able to tutor both Math and Reading & Writing sections of the exam depending on my students' needs. My lessons are catered to high school and middle school students. With a high school 98.5 GPA, my qualifications can guide students through most high school subjects. I believe in engaging 1-on-1 lessons. My approach focuses on clarity and curiosity. The benefit of teaching an individual 1-on-1 lesson is that I can always confirm my student's understanding before moving on. I can easily adapt to the learning pace of my students and slow down/speed up as needed. A standard session includes: 1) Warm-up – a quick recap of the previous lesson or a fun logic puzzle 2) Core Concept Breakdown – deep dive into 1–2 key ideas 3) Application Time – solving problems, writing code, or working through practice sets 4) Reflection & Preview – discussing what was learned and what’s next
