About Jonah

I’m a high school student at Eastside Preparatory in Bellevue who scored a 790 SAT math and scored perfect test scores in calculus and advanced calculus. I’ve been where you are, so I know exactly what the test rewards and where students lose points. I also teach any math level below Calculus 2. I can also teach any chemistry below Organic Chemistry. Lessons are online, tailored to your current score and targeted weaknesses. (I always spend extra time as needed (: )

About the lesson

Most students prep for SAT Math and other subjects backwards. They spend hours grinding the hardest problems, then lose easy points to rushed algebra and misread questions.

My approach is the Perfect Process:

Make easy and medium questions automatic. These are most of the test. We build a reliable process for every question type so you stop making careless mistakes.
Pick off the hard questions strategically. You don’t need all of them. Getting about half, while keeping everything else perfect, puts you in 700+ territory.
Use the adaptive format to your advantage. On the digital SAT, a strong first module sends you to the harder second module, which is where the highest scores become possible. Nailing the fundamentals early is what gets you there.

Each session includes targeted practice, error analysis (we find why you missed a question, not just what the answer was), Desmos shortcuts, and timing strategy.

For other subjects I will focus on conceptual understanding focusing on why a variable is there and why things work the way they do. Then use that understanding to solve any problem in a conceptual way rather than trying to brute force problems. This makes it so that any problem type you face is easily solvable rather than only understanding question types.
