About Pratish

Namaste, I’m Pratish — an RYT-500 Certified Yoga Teacher with 13+ years of teaching experience. I have guided 800+ students across India and internationally through online yoga classes.

I offer three class formats: 1:1 Personalised Yoga, Couple Yoga, and Small-Group Yoga for 3–5 students.

My teaching includes a broad range of traditional yoga practices:

• 60+ Yoga Asanas and Surya Namaskar — introduced gradually according to your ability, experience and comfort, with clear instruction and observation.

• 50+ Pranayama practices and combinations — ancient yogic breathing techniques, including 50 unique combinations I have developed to support breath awareness, relaxation, mental calm and overall wellbeing.

• Meditation — including Mindfulness, Zen and Transcendental Meditation.

• Yoga Nidra — a guided yogic practice of systematic relaxation and inward awareness, using body awareness, breath awareness and visualisation to promote deep physical and mental relaxation.

• Jal Neti — a traditional yogic nasal cleansing practice using saline-water irrigation to cleanse the nasal passages, loosen and clear mucus and support comfortable nasal breathing.

• Shavasana — a conscious relaxation practice performed in stillness, allowing the body to release physical effort while attention settles on the breath, body and present experience.

This wide range of yoga practices can support many physical and mental health needs. Some common concerns I help students with include:

• Fitness, strength, flexibility, mobility and balance
• Weight management
• Back, neck and shoulder pain
• Sciatica, poor posture, stiffness and reduced mobility
• Stress, anxiety, overthinking and mental wellbeing
• Sleep and relaxation
• Headaches and migraines
• Digestive wellbeing
• Women’s wellness, PCOS and menopause
• Prenatal and postnatal needs
• Healthy ageing and seniors’ wellness
• Overall physical and mental wellbeing

My teaching is based on clear instruction, demonstration, observation, appropriate corrections, adaptation and gradual progression, so you can practise with greater understanding and confidence.

My classes are live, guided 60-minute yoga sessions designed around your needs, goals, experience and chosen class format.

1:1 PERSONALISED YOGA

A private session for individual needs and goals, with closer observation, personal guidance, corrections and adaptations throughout the practice.

A typical 60-minute session includes:

• 10 minutes — Yogic breathing, full-body preparation, stretching and mobility
• 15 minutes — Surya Namaskar and selected yoga postures
• 10 minutes — Rhythmic breathing
• 15 minutes — Pranayama
• 10 minutes — Meditation, Yoga Nidra or Shavasana and relaxation

The structure provides a balanced practice, while the actual practices are adapted according to your needs, goals, experience and abilities.

COUPLE YOGA

A private session for two people who want to practise together while enjoying privacy and working towards fitness, flexibility, mobility, strength, relaxation and overall physical and mental wellbeing.

SMALL-GROUP YOGA — 3–5 STUDENTS

For friends, family members or colleagues who want to practise together at a more affordable cost.

Minimum 3 students are required, with a maximum of 5 students per group for personal attention, guidance and corrections while benefiting from a shared session and shared cost.

Across all formats, classes are live and interactive. I demonstrate, observe and guide you throughout the practice rather than simply giving you a routine to follow.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Yoga became an important part of my own life because I experienced how a consistent practice can support physical well-being, mental calmness and greater balance in daily life. This experience motivated me to study yoga more deeply and eventually make teaching it my profession.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My own experience with yoga showed me how valuable a consistent, well-guided practice can be for physical and mental well-being. I became fascinated by the depth of yoga and wanted to help others experience its practical benefits through personalized guidance.
  • How does your work help society?

Through yoga, I help people develop practical practices that support stress management, mobility, strength, flexibility, relaxation and overall physical and mental wellness. I adapt the practice to each student's needs rather than following the same routine for everyone.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

If I had to choose a role model for my work as a yoga teacher, it would be Maharshi Patanjali. He is traditionally credited with compiling the Yoga Sutras, which provide a clear framework for understanding yoga as a path of physical well-being, mental balance, self-discipline, and inner growth.

What inspires me most is that these teachings remain practical and timeless. They show that yoga is not only about physical postures, but also about breath awareness, mindfulness, emotional balance, and living with greater awareness in everyday life.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of yoga, I enjoy reading books on self-growth and spirituality, listening to soothing music, and singing. I also love traveling to peaceful, remote places to connect with the beauty and serenity of nature. Spending time with my childhood friends brings me joy and helps me stay grounded.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

One of my students came to me experiencing significant stress and difficulty sleeping due to work pressure. Through regular online yoga practice, along with breathing and relaxation techniques, the student gradually experienced improvements in relaxation, sleep and daytime energy. Seeing this positive change was one of the most rewarding moments of my teaching journey and reinforced why I value personalized, consistent guidance.
