About Maggie
I am a recent graduate (May 2019) with over 8 years of volunteer experience peer tutoring, mentoring, and babysitting children and youth between the ages of 6-15. I have typically been a homework helper. I have tutored in elementary and middle school math subjects as well as English and Writing.
My efforts have positively impacted homework + test scores for numerous students in addition to an enhanced understanding of subject matter. I want my students to learn and understand my help rather than just copy and paste it.
Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher. I have tutored for close friends and family in addition in the classrooms of public schools in New York City and Philadelphia.
I work full-time in(remote for now) in the Entertainment industry in Los Angeles. My affinity for helping students has allowed me to fulfill my desire to teach in addition to working in the field of Entertainment.

Every student has unique learning styles and needs, with differing study habits and techniques.
My teaching methods depend on each student and their learning needs and styles. I typically use as much visual as possible and along with connection to real-life situations and scenarios. My high school education revolved around problem based learning, which has proven useful in the real world.
For writing, I have various unique/clever ways to properly use grammar and punctuation.
